Carbon Offsetting and Ocean Protection: A Global Strategy
The carbon offset projects we support are internationally certified and implemented across diverse geographies. Each ton of CO2 we neutralize through these projects contributes to an additional effort: preventing 10 kg of plastic waste from entering the ocean.
1. Solar Energy in India: Our projects in Maharashtra, Orissa, Jharkhand, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh, India, focus on sustainable electricity generation through solar energy (climatepartner.com/1390). This initiative not only reduces carbon emissions but also supports sustainable development in the region.
2. Wind Farms in the Philippines and Aruba: On the Philippine island of Luzon (climatepartner.com/1091) and in Aruba (climatepartner.com/1040), our wind farms are establishing a clean and renewable alternative to fossil fuel-generated electricity, marking a significant shift toward energy independence and sustainability.
Our Additional Commitment to the Oceans
In addition to carbon offsetting, we pledge to collect 10 kg of plastic for every ton of CO2 offset. This effort not only helps clean our seas but also contributes to improving the livelihoods of local communities, creating a positive environmental and social impact.
